Ava Satnick MD practices integrative medicine which emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and uses all appropriate resources to support and promote health and healing.
Dr. Satnick is board certified in pediatrics and lactation. Her academic and research expertise are in nutrition, consumer behavior, childhood obesity and wellness. She is the second person in the country to have completed Stanford's Pediatric Integrative Medicine Fellowship. She has received additional training in self-hypnosis through the National Pediatric Hypnosis Institute and motivational interviewing through the Andrew Weil Arizona Center for Integrative medicine. She has a personal practice of yoga and meditation for over a decade and enjoys cooking for her neighbors, friends and family.
Most patient's and families who come to see her are looking for a personalized approach to their child's care accounting for all aspects of who they are as a whole person. She commonly works with breastfeeding mothers and families who are looking to kickstart lifestyle changes for better health and well-being. She sees patient's of all ages from newborn - twenty-six years old.
Her motto, "health starts today and builds tomorrow" because she sees all the good that families are already doing for the health of their children as opportunities to build on.
